Sahayogita Trust is a public charitable trust based in West Bengal, India, working for inclusive and sustainable development. The Trust focuses on education, health, livelihoods, women and child welfare, environmental protection, WASH, disaster response, and social harmony for marginalized communities across India.
Our Core Objectives
To advance public charitable purposes by alleviating poverty, strengthening education and skills, improving health and nutrition, protecting vulnerable populations, promoting environmental conservation, and empowering communities to achieve sustainable and dignified livelihoods.
To build an inclusive, just, and resilient society where all individuals- especially the poor, marginalized, women, children, minorities, persons with disabilities, and disadvantaged communities- enjoy equal access to education, health, livelihood opportunities, environmental sustainability, and social dignity.

Debranjan Lai, born in 1977 in Bankura, West Bengal is a seasoned development professional. He holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Visva-Bharati University (2002) and is recognized for his contributions to India’s Polio-Free Initiative by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and UNICEF.
With 23 years of experience in designing, managing, and scaling multi-sectoral development programmes across India, his expertise spans Public Health, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Child Protection, Education, and Skill Development.
Currently serving as a Program Development Consultant with an international agency and supports global partnerships, institutional fundraising, and strategic programme development across South Asia. He has worked extensively with leading organizations such as UNICEF, Save the Children, ActionAid, and Water For People, contributing to impactful initiatives that strengthen communities and improve access to essential services.
Throughout his career, Debranjan has demonstrated strong leadership in programme management, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building. He has successfully led large-scale initiatives, including state-wide programmes in West Bengal, and played a key role in advocacy efforts, community mobilization, and institutional partnership building.
Debranjan brings a strategic, collaborative, and results-driven approach to development, with a deep commitment to empowering vulnerable communities and fostering sustainable change.

Sibajul Islam born in 1977 in Murshidabad, He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Calcutta and a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Netaji Subhash Chandra Open University. His academic background is complemented by specialized training in communication and community outreach under programs such as Stepping Stone and the Link Worker Scheme.
He is a committed development professional with over a decade of experience working in the non-governmental sector. He has actively contributed to community development initiatives, particularly in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention, women’s empowerment through Self-Help Groups (SHGs), anti-trafficking interventions, and livelihood programs under schemes such as SGSY.
Sibajul brings strong skills in community mobilization, program implementation, and grassroots engagement. Known for his leadership qualities, dedication, and team-oriented approach, he has been instrumental in driving impactful social initiatives at the field level.

Kushal Mukherjee, born in 1962 in Kolkata, is a distinguished artist with a B.V.A. from the Indian College of Art, Kolkata (1989). His work has been showcased in numerous prestigious group exhibitions, including the Annual Exhibition at the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata, Birla Academy of Art & Culture, and Lalit Kala Academy, Delhi. He has also held solo exhibitions at the Academy of Fine Arts, Lalit Kala Academy, Chemould Gallery, and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
Mukherjee has actively participated in various national and international art workshops, collaborating with institutions such as IFACS, the Bangladesh Consulate, and Bokaro Steel Plant. His artworks are part of esteemed collections, including the Art Galleries of Delhi & Bangalore, Peerless Inn Hotel, and the Bangladesh Embassy in Kolkata.
His contributions to the art world have been recognized with several awards, including the *Raja Ravi Varma Award (2022)*. Beyond his artistic pursuits, he is committed to art education and awareness, organizing workshops and seminars to promote art among the masses.
